Murray has written more than 30 books about natural approaches to health and is co-author of the “Textbook of Natural Medicine,” and the best-selling “The Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine,” that has been translated into 14 different languages and has sold more than 2 million copies. His other books include, “What The Drug Companies Won’t Tell You And Your Doctor Doesn’t Know,” and his recently released “The Magic of Food.” In 2016, Murray received the Nutrition Business Journal Award for Education as a nod to his lifelong career of educating practitioners and the general public on natural medicine through books and publications, public speaking events, workshops and conferences, as well as through major national media coverage, such as PBS, MSNBC, NBC’s “Dateline,” ABC’s “20/20” and “Primetime,” CBS News “Sunday Morning” and a recent special report on “The Dr. Oz Show” about the science behind natural medicine.

Murray is the Chief Science Officer of Enzymedica, leading scientific research projects and developing high-potency enzyme-based products. He has also been instrumental in introducing many effective natural products to North America, including: St. John’s Wort extract, Ginkgo biloba extract, saw palmetto berry extract, PharmaGABA and glucosamine sulfate, to name a few. For more than 35 years, Murray has compiled a database of more than 65,000 articles of original scientific studies from medical and scientific literature that provides solid evidence on the effectiveness of nutrition, vitamins, minerals, herbs and other natural approaches that are effective in the maintenance of health and the treatment of disease. It is from this ever-expanding database that he provides answers for a wide-range of audiences on health and healing through his popular website, DoctorMurray.com and newsletter, which has more than 125,000 subscribers.
